Free Crochet Pattern for 6" Mattel Kelly Doll
Amazon Kelly Doll
In 2006, Mattel added a new Kelly doll mold to their collection. This new mold was 6” tall and was only made for a very short time. No boy versions of the 6” Kelly were ever made. Collectors nicknamed this Kelly doll the Amazon Kelly. She is a very cute and rare doll to find. It is especially hard to find clothing that fits her so it is necessary to learn to make your own outfits.
This crochet pattern includes a pattern for a poinsettia dress, a Santa Suit, and a Mrs. Claus dress. The pattern is intended for seasoned crocheters. The outfits could be modified to fit other ideas. For example, the poinsettia dress could be made with pink thread and a flower applique to change it into a spring dress.
Items Needed (for All Three Patterns):
- 2.25 MM crochet hook
- Red, black, green, and Christmas mix size 10 thread
- White Moda Dea Dream Fuzzy yarn
- 3 small snaps
- 2 small white pompoms
- Small poinsettia or other small Christmas appliqué
Stitches Used:
- Ch = chain
- Sc = single crochet
- DC = double crochet
- HDC = half double crochet

Thank you for the nice comment skperdon! The nice thing about that dress is that if you make it a different color with a different appliqué you can have a whole new look - all with the same pattern.
Good luck with your crochet! :)

I've done crocheted doilies and chair backs so far. I haven't done woolen patterns so thank you for your poinsettia dress pattern. I love it.

Thank you Dez! I love your Barbie patterns and am going to try a few. :)
It's true there are not many patterns for the 6" Kelly doll. It's been fun coming up with these designs and experimenting with other ideas.
Thanks so much for the comment and vote up!

Nice patterns! When I just started out, I first made clothes for that same size Kelly in your photos. I moved on to Barbie after exhausting all the free patterns online.
Voted up!
