Free 'Alice' Headband Knitting Pattern

Skill Level: Beginner

Yarn: 4ply (fingering weight) I used hand spun yarn, but you can use anything.

Needles: 3.75mm/US 5

Accessories: a tapestry needle and small scissors.

Total Weight: 20g/0.7oz (approx. 54m/59 yards)

Finished Measurements: 18 inches/45.5cm around and 3.5 inches/9cm deep.

To Fit: 20 inch head circumference.

Gauge: 6 stitches and 10.5 rows per inch.

Ease: 5cm/2 inches negative ease.

Abbreviations:

Sts – stitches

Directions:

1. Cast on 20sts.

2. Knit for 18 inches.

3. Cast Off.

4. Place flat on a surface and twist the length in half, so that when you seam it you have a twist along the length of your headband.

5. Seam the headband and wear it with the twist off to one side.

Blocking: No need to block.
