My favorite hobby is to crochet doll clothes. Using what I've learned from reading existing patterns, I create my own designs for Barbie.

I got a request to make a crochet pattern for a Curvy Barbie a few months ago. Admittedly, even though the doll has been released for more than a year, I just got my hands on it recently. While I do like to try out designing things for new dolls (or body types), I do want to know if this is what readers would want more of in the future. So if you read this, please leave a comment below if you want more Curvy Barbie patterns.

I did not want to go too crazy and make a new design as I have no experience dressing a plus sized doll. And so, here is my first attempt in making a dress for the Curvy Barbie doll. I incorporated one of my more popular skirt designs (the Chevron skirt) with a top idea that I have been toying with for a while.

This is a free crochet pattern for a Curvy Barbie Chevron Dress. For something similar for a regular Barbie, please visit Barbie Strapless Chevron Dress. For more information on the different body types of Barbie, please visit Crochet Clothes For Your Barbie Doll.
