Since it is summertime, I thought I would make a new dress to fit the season. This design is made vertically instead of the usual horizontal rows. As such, the form of the dress is very basic, with some color changes done in the skirt area to create some interest. The Mobius Shawl was a result of an experiment from trying out a shawl design I found on Ravelry.

This article is a free crochet pattern for a Barbie Vertical Striped Dress with a Mobius Shawl. I used a Barbie Made to Move doll as the model for this design, but you should be able to use any other dolls due to the simplicity of the design. For more information on the different Barbie body types available in the market, please visit Crochet Clothes for Your Barbie Doll.

Rounds 2 - 6: Ch 1, sc in each sc around join with sl st in the first sc.

Note: You can choose to add more Rounds to this shawl to have more coverage, I just ran out of thread at this point, so I chose to stop here.

This looks very nice and smart!

Good idea to crochet a new dress for the Barbie doll. I think the same pattern can look good on young girls too .

Your description is well explained and I love to do crochet work though have never done for a doll.

      Thanks for sharing!
