Soda Can Crafts
There are so many really great crafts made using aluminum cans. I made a search of websites looking for aluminum can crafts that included a nice photo of the finished project and a tutorial for the craft. There are instructions for making aluminum can crafts that range from jewelry items to wall décor. I hope you'll be able to find a project or two that you'll want to make. What a great way to recycle pop and beer cans.

1. Pop Top Peace Sign
Don't forget to save the pop-tops from your soda can, you can make wall art using them. You'll find the tutorial for making this peace sign at Crafting a Green World.
2. Rose Plaque
Making a beautiful rose plaque like this would be a great idea for a Mother's day gift. Or an appropriate Valentine's gift for a sweetheart. You'll find the instructions for making this rose at great stems.
3. Patchwork Star
I find this patchwork very attractive and think it would be a beautiful addition to any style decor. Imagine it on the mantel or shelf in your home. The directions for making this patchwork star is found at Home-Dzine.
4. Aluminum Roses

5. Beer Can Ashtrays
You'll be able to make your own ashtrays by following the instructions at Cut Out + Keep. If you don't smoke, you can always use these little trays to hold jewelry or soap bars.
6. Sparkle Fairies

7. Aluminum Can Lanterns
Okay, so these aren't beer cans. But, since beer cans are made from aluminum, I decided to share this lantern craft also. Go to dollar store crafts for the directions. A great camping or patio light.

10. Faux Hammered Copper
Change the silver look of aluminum cans to a faux hammered copper look using the tutorial at STOW & TELLU as your guide. Some of the uses for the hammered copper look might be as a basis for ornaments, jewelry, garlands, etc.

When I was, well, a few decades younger, we, my self and a bunch of like-mindless (yeah, I spelled it right) friends built a wall using beer cans strung on strings and hung from the roof beam to separate the garage we worked on our cars in!

How fun that there is such a thing as Beer Can Appreciation Day and that I'm here in time to celebrate it. I have to say that I'm impressed with the creations you have on display, beer can crafts have advanced nicely. I'm not ready for the hat but the butterfly mobile and vase are something I would enjoy....blessed for the creative fun of it all!

amazing that people do all of this with beer cans. In South Australia where I live we get a 10 cent refund for each can as they are recycled in our state. So we all turn our cans into cash lol great for the environment and you can buy more beer with the money
