DIY Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids

Turkey Caramel Hershey Kiss
For a fun fall craft, these Turkey caramel Hershey's Kisses make great Thanksgiving party favors and are so easy to make.
Supplies
- card stock paper in yellow, orange and black
- googly eyes
- red and orange felt
- Hershey's Kisses
- scissors
- sticky glue dot adhesives
Instructions
- Cut out or use a heart shaped punch to cut out hearts in each of the colors to create the 'feathers' for the turkey.
- Stick these on the back of the Hershey's Kiss.
- Cut out some felt in red and orange to make the beak and attach with glue dots.
- Finally, add the googly eyes.
Footprint Turkey
Footprint crafts make adorable cards and pictures to give loved ones. Paint your little one's foot with brown and print onto card stock. Use a sharpie marker to add the legs and face features. For the feathers, you can cut out feather shapes in scrapbook paper and stick them on.
Cardboard Tube Turkey
Cardboard tubes are great at transforming into craft items like DIY turkeys. Paint the tube brown and allow to dry. Next you'll paint a paper plate orange and allow to dry. You can then cut feather shapes from different colored paper and have your little one write on each 'feather' all those things they are thankful for. Now glue these to the plate. Then that is glued to the cardboard tube to complete the turkey.
Brown Paper Turkey
For a large decoration, cut out a turkey shape in brown paper. Cut feathers from different colored paper and then use black paper to create the hat. This can be hung anywhere you like all throughout the season.

Glue on a sticks of brown paper and white paper for the mast. Blue paper is used for the background, while a darker blue paper is used to make the ocean.
Pilgrim Handprints
Pilgrims are easily made using your child's hand print. Paint their hands with skin color paint on the palm and black on the fingers and print onto paper. You can cut a strip of black paper to go across the hand print to form the hat. Then paint on the facial features.
