I commenced my education in Malaysia at an International School. After returning to Australia for a year or so, I also lived in Malawi for a year with my parents. Growing up overseas in the early post-colonial era was both interesting and educational. I have grown to appreciate the unique experiences I enjoyed and their influence on my development as a human being.
After completing school I studied Communication Studies/English and Comparative Literature at Murdoch University before working at Edith Cowan University. I later completed a Master of Education studying online through USQ. Part of this qualification involved a research project on environmental education and I have two published papers from this work in an Academic Journal.
After leaving my role as an Educational Designer I have worked in a variety of jobs and am now semi-retired. I have always enjoyed writing and other creative pursuits such as spinning, sewing, knitting, and crochet. I also enjoy beach walks, travel, and nature.
